ÂThe Racers enter the weekend winners in six of their last eight after splitting their two matches last weekend against Illinois State and Bradley.Â
ÂThe Racers have the second-best hitting percentage in the Missouri Valley Conference .223 with 583 total kills on the season. Outside Hitter Ella Vogel is second in the MVC in kills per set, averaging 4.28 with a total of 184 on the season.  Setter Bailey DeMier is currently leading the MVC in assists with a per-set average of 9.86 and a total of 434 on the season. Graduate Libero Dahlia Miller is third in the MVC in digs per set and seventh in the nation with 5.25 and a season total of 231. Sophomore Lily Burnett recorded career highs in kills in both of last weekend's games with 14 at Illinois State and 16 against Bradley. Â
ÂDarci Metzger is nearing the 1000-kill mark for her career with a total of 976. The Collinsville, Ill. would become the 15 Racer of all time to join the 1000 Kill Club.Â
"Finally we are home! I think it is good to learn how to play on the road," said head coach David Schwepker. "But I can tell you for sure that the team will appreciate being back in Racer Arena."
The Sycamores (3-11, 0-2 MVC) have lost seven straight, getting swept at home last weekend by both UIC and Valparaiso. The Sycamores are looking to Outside Hitter Emma Kaelin to help reverse their fortunes. She leads the team with 165 kills and 133 digs on the season. Indiana State is currently fourth in the MVC in blocks per set with an average of 1.84 and a total of 95.5. Â
ÂEvansville (2-12, 1-1 MVC) split their MVC opening weekend with a 3-2 win over Valparaiso and a 3-1 loss to UIC. Prior to their win over Valparaiso the Aces had lost 10 straight matches in non-conference play. Giulia Cardonna leads the team in kills and digs with 283 and 152, respectively. Her average of 5.05 kills per set is the highest in the MVC, she also leads the conference in service aces with 26 and an average of 0.46 per set. Â
