The Murray State Racers moved to 3-1 with their second home win of the season
The Murray State Racers scored a 79-61 victory Wednesday over the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.

In winning back-to-back games, the Racers (3-1) host the Utah Valley Wolverines Friday at The Bank in a 7 p.m. tip off.

For the third time in four games, the Racers put five players in double-figures 19 points from Nick Ellington on 7-of-9 shooting, while KyeRon Lindsay produced his first MSU double-double with 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. AJ Ferguson added 13 points, with Terence Harcum scoring 11 and Kylen Milton adding 10 points.

After edging a 36-30 lead at the halftime intermission, the Racers out scored the Hawks 25-13 in the final 10:52 to win the second half 43-31.

Game Notes
- Ellington and Lindsay are giving the Racers a solid offensive post threat these days as they combined tonight to hit 11-of-17 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line for a total of 32 to go with 18 rebounds.
- Lindsay's career-high 12 rebounds bested his previous best of 10 against Miami (OH) (11-14-22).
- JaCobi Wood had a career-high 13 assists out of MSU's total of 15.
- The odd night in that Wood didn't score a field in his four points.
- Wood's previous career-high assist game was 11 at Illinois State (02-15-23), vs Tulsa (11-20-22) and vs Valparaiso (03-02-23).
- The Racers have put five players in double-figure in the games against Bethel, Pittsburgh and MES.
- MSU was only one point from having five with 10 or more points against Middle Tennessee.
- The Racers outscored the Hawks 36-12 in the paint tonight.
