The Murray State Women's Basketball Team will visit a familiar opponent at Belmont for the Missouri Valley Conference selected game, Friday.

The Racers are coming off a 74-84 loss to Missouri State for their first home loss of the season, Sunday.

A matchup between the highest-scoring team and the most defensive team in MVC, this will be the 25th matchup between Murray State and Belmont.

MSU enters the game with the third-highest scoring offense in the nation with 89.7 points per game. They have ten 90-plus point games this season.

Haven Ford was named MVC Freshman of the Week after averaging 18 points per game last weekend.

Katelyn Young joins the group of five Racers that has scored 2000-career points against Southern Illinois. She is one of only 16 active players that has 2000-plus points in the NCAA.

Scouting Belmont

Belmont currently tops the Missouri Valley Conference with a 8-1 conference record.
The Bruins are the top defensive team in the league by only letting 60.6 points per game. They limit their their opponents to a .383 field goal percentage.
Tessa Miller leads the Bruins in points with an average of 12.9 points per game and a toal of 266 points followed closely by Jailyn Banks with 12.6 points per game and 252 total points.
