Racers Fall to Western Kentucky and Chattanooga

Murray State softball drops day two to WKU and UTC.
In A Nutshell
Murray State softball falls to Western Kentucky (2-3) and Chattanooga (2-3), Saturday.
Vs. Western Kentucky
The Racers posted four hits in their 2-3 loss to Western Kentucky. Erin Lackey, Maddie Hobby, Lily Fischer and Calista Collins posted a hit each.
Adison Hicks opened the scoring for the Racers with a SAC bunt RBI to score Courtney Sandy home in the fourth inning. Fischer hit the Racers' second RBI in the fifth inning when she scored Parker Holcombe home.
WKU scored two runs in the fifth inning and a run in the seventh inning to take the edge.
Vs. Chattanooga
Murray State outhit Chattanooga six to four but fell short on taking the edge.
The Racers and the Mocs saw five blank innings before the runs started coming home. The Mocs opened the scoring in the sixth inning when they hit an RBI single to the center field followed with a two-run home run to put them up by three.
MSU found offense at the top of the seventh inning. Kayleigh White hit single to right field followed by an RBI double by Ava Ozment.
Erin Lackey SAC flew to right field for an RBI but the Racers failed to find an equalizer.

Murray State will wrap their weekend in Chattanooga against Jacksonville State, tomorrow.
