Murray State softball beats Toledo (2-1) and IUPUI (3-0) to earn two wins.

In A Nutshell
Murray State softball sweeps day two of Velvet Milkman Classic with wins over Toledo (2-1) and IUPUI (3-0), Saturday. They are now 3-1 through the weekend with a 6-8 season record.

Vs. Toledo
Sidney Griffith gives the Rockets an early lead with an RBI single to left field to Eliza Maloney home.

The Racers responded in the final stretch of the game when Kayleigh White singled out to left field before Adison Hicks hit her first career homerun to score two runs and win it for the Racers in the sixth inning.

Jenna Veber posted her fifth win of the season.

Vs. IUPUI
The Racers shut out the Jaguars by scoring early in the second inning. Hicks posted her third RBI of the day while Bre Haislip posted her first of the day.

In the fifth inning, Maddie Hobby displayed her baserunning prowess by stealing second base after getting a single with a bunt. Kayleigh White scored Hobby home with an RBI double to add a buffer.

Raylee Roby earns her first career win. She is now 1-3 in the season after posting four strikes while allowing zero hits and only four hits through 20 batters faced.

What's next?
Murray State will face Toledo (2 p.m. CT) and IUPUI (4:30 p.m. CT) for the second day of the Velvet Milkman Classic, tomorrow.
