Carson Garner hit his 11th home run of the season.
Cade Vernon tossed 5 2/3 innings matching his season-high seven strikeouts for the second-straight appearance and third time this year. Carson Garner went 4-for-5 with his 11th home run of the season and two RBIs.
With his home run in the fifth inning, Garner has surpassed his 2023 season home run total and totaled four hits in a single game for the first time this year.
Ethan Krizen recorded his fourth multi-hit game this season with a pair of base hits.
The Racers look to even the series on Friday, March 29 at 1 p.m. at Reagan Field.
