Racers Fall To Bruins In Game Two

Murray State aims to bounce back in series finale on Saturday.
The Bruins scored runs in five of the seven innings played with 12 of their 14 runs coming in the last four frames. Belmont outhit the Racers 14-8 and had twice as many extra-base hits.
All four of Murray State's runs were scored with two outs in the sixth inning from four players that took a pinch-hit at-bat. Gunnar Bingham put MSU on the board with an RBI single up the middle to score Logan Bland after Bland reached base with a double to left-center field. Riley Hawthorne then advanced Bingham to third with a base hit through the right side of the infield.
John Orberson stepped up and ripped an infield single to score Bingham and advance Hawthorne to third after he stole second base. Taylor Howell capped off the inning with a two-run double off the left field.
The Racers close out the series with Belmont on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Reagan Field.
