The Murray State Women's Basketball Team travels to Illinois State to start their final weekend of Missouri Valley Conference Play, Thursday.

The Racers are coming off a 87-70 win over Indiana State, Sunday.

Notes

Murray State won 90-55 over Illinois State at the CFSB Center in their second Missouri Valley Conference game this season.
This will be the seventh meeting between the Racers and Redbirds with Illinois State leading the series 4-2.
The Racers lost their previous meeting 73-79 at Illinois State.
MSU enters the game with the fourth-highest scoring offense in the nation with 86.1 points per game. They have 11 90-plus point games this season.
They remain the highest offensive team in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Racers lead the nation in bench points with 36.7 points per game.
Katelyn Young averaged 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this past weekend.
Young posted 22 points and eight rebounds on the Racers' win over Evansville, Friday. Two rebounds away from her 11th double-double of the season, before coming back and posting 27 points over Indiana State.
Young now has 2,210 points and is 77 points away from tying the program's scoring record. She has 967 career rebounds.
Young is currently leading the Missouri Valley Conference in points per game with 19.4.
Young was included in the 2024 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List by Her Hoop Stats.
Rechelle Turner enters her seventh season after guiding the Racers through their inaugural MVC season.

Scouting Illinois State

Illinois State is tied in fourth with Northern Iowa in the conference standings with a 12-6 MVC record.
Their offense is led by DeAnna Wilson who is eighth in the MVC in points per game with 15.19.
Shannon Dowell was named MVC Freshman of this Week after posting a total of 53 points this past weekend.
