The Murray State Women's softball competes at the Northern Alabama Tournament for their final non-conference tournament of the season, Friday and Saturday.

The Racers will face Southern Mississippi and Samford, tomorrow, before facing Detroit Mercy and the hosts, North Alabam, Saturday.

Notes

The Racers are coming off a 3-8 loss in a midweek game at UT Martin.
Jenna Veber is leading the Racers from the circle with a 1.11 ERA and a 7-4 win-lose record.

Opponents

Southern Mississippi
Southern Mississippi has an 8-10 record heading into the final non-conference weekend.

Their offense is led by Hannah Borden with a .383 batting average through 60 at bats. She has 23 hits and have scored 10 runs with four home runs.

This will be the second meeting between the Racers and the Golden Eagles. The Racers lost the previous meeting 1-2 at Hattiesburg, Miss.

Samford
The Bulldogs enter the final weekend of non-conference play with a 3-16 record.

Their offense is led by McKayla Cothran with a .306 batting average. In scoring, Grier Bruce and Katie Campbell leads the Bulldogs with 12 RBIs each.

This will be the ninth meeting between the Bulldogs and the Racers. The Racers lead the series 7-2 and have won the last four meetings against the Bulldogs.

Detroit Mercy
Vitale enters his first year as a head coach.

They enter their final non-conference weekend with a 0-12 record.

Allison Donaugh leads the Titans in offense with a .321 batting average. Amanda Schick and Jada Davis leads in scoring with three RBIs each.

This will be the first meeting between the Racers and the Titans.

North Alabama
The Lions enters the final non-conference weekend with a 14-6 record.

Felicity Frame leads the offense with a .354 batting average. Haven Kirby leads in scoring with 16 RBIs and four home runs.

This will be the seventh meeting between the Lions and the Racers. The Lions are unbeaten through six games against the Racers.
