Head Coach Rechelle Turner announced the addition of sophomore guard Halli Poock for the 2024-25 roster.
Head Coach Rechelle Turner announced the signing of transfer guard Halli Poock, Monday. Poock joins the Racers from Bradley where she spent her freshman year in the fellow Missouri Valley Conference side.
Â
The Waterloo, Iowa, native played in all 32 games for the Braves and made 18 starts as a freshman. She was second for the Braves in scoring with 14.88 points per game while serving as their main point guard and racking 94 assists through the 2023-24 season. The 5-6 sophomore is the first ESPN top 100 and four-star recruit signed in the Turner era.
Â
Poock closed the 2023-24 season with a 38.5 three-point percentage and was third in the MVC with 2.25 three-points made per game, earning herself the All-MVC Third Team and MVC All-Freshman Team honors.
Â
"Halli will make an immediate impact in our system, and she will bring much needed shooting and scoring to our back court. She knows how tough our league is and the experience she has collected while navigating the many challenges the Missouri Valley Conference offer will be very valuable to our team," said Turner.
Â
"Her competitiveness and willingness to do whatever it takes to get better will be key ingredients as we continue to build a championship culture. We are excited about the future of our program, and we cannot wait to see the impact she will have on Racers Women's Basketball over the next three years."
Â
Poock will join the Racers as a sophomore for the 2024-25 season.
