Racers to Finish out Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic Against Louisiana

Following a pair of losses on Friday, Murray State Volleyball (0-2) will look to bounce back against Louisiana (0-1) in their final game of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic on Saturday, August 31 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Â
ÂThe Ragin Cajuns will also be looking to bounce back following a 3-1 loss to Jackson State on Friday.
ÂThis will be the second time the Racers and Ragin Cajuns face off with the last matchup taking place on September 7, 2001, when Louisiana-Lafayette won 3-0.
ÂIn 2023 Louisiana finished the season 19-13 with their season coming to an end in the second round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at the hands of Coastal Carolina.   Â
ÂThe Ragin Cajuns feature a standout Libero in Mio Yamamoto who was named SBC Preseason Libero of the Year and was a member of the 2024 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Volleyball team.Â
ÂSetter Siena DeCambra was featured on the All-Sun Belt Second Team after a 2023 season that saw her record 283 digs and 1165 assists. Â
