Racers Travel to Southern Illinois for 50th All-Time Meeting

Murray State women's basketball travels to Carbondale, Illinois for Thursday Matchup

Murray State women's basketball travels to Southern Illinois on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Carbondale, Illinois. The meeting marks the 50th all-time meeting between the Racers and Salukis with the Racers winning the last three matchups.

The Racers enter the matchup ranking inside the top 10 nationally in three pointers made per game, scoring offense, three point attempts per game, and free throws made per game.

Four Racers all average 13.4 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Katelyn Young, Haven Ford, and Ava Learn. In the Racers last matchup, they defeated Illinois State 91-80 to begin the MVC Campaign.

The Racers enter the contest at 7-3 on the season.

Scouting Report

Southern Illinois enters the game at 2-8 on the season, falling to Valpo in their last time out. Gift Uchenna leads the Salukis with 15.6 points per game and 12.6 rebounds per game.
