Murray State women's tennis set for competition in Paducah over the weekend

Dates(Times): January 30 (12 p.m. CT), January 31 (10 a.m. CT), February 1 (10 a.m. CT)
Site(Venue): Paducah, KY (Hilliard Lyons Indoor Tennis Center)
Opponents: Southeast Missouri Redhawks, Austin Peay Governors and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs

The Murray State women's tennis team is set to compete Thursday at Hilliard Lyons Indoor Tennis Center.

Racers tennis started the 2025 campaign off in Lexington, Kentucky. Despite falling short to the Kentucky Wildcats 6-1, the dominant pairing of Paola Campigotto and Varya Alexeyeva were successful in their doubles match. Yuna Kadowaki pulled off an incredible seven consecutive points to win her singles match.

In the 2024 season, the Racers secured their first MVC Championship Title which earned them a first place preseason rank.

The Racers lead the series 15-3 against the Redhawks. The previous meeting came in January of 2024 that ended in a 7-0 win for MSU. The Navy & Gold also lead the series against the Governors, 13-10. The Racers look to secure their first win against the Bulldogs, who have lead the series 4-0.
