Racers Set Sights on OVC Crown

The seventh-ranked Murray State Racers host the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Ky. on Saturday, February, 1 at 9 a.m. CT.

Last week the Racers defeated the Memphis Tigers in a road contest with an aggregate of 4717.

Senior Scott Patterson claimed the top individual rankings with a season-high 1184 aggregate while firing a third-place 588 in smallbore and claimed second in air rifle with a 596.

The Navy and Gold have the sixth-best team average aggregate in the nation at 4720.2. The Eagles are 17th in the nation with an average of 4661.2 and the Skyhawks are one spot behind in 18th with an average of 4652.7.

Freshman Carlotta Salafia leads the Racers with an average of 1182.75 good for 15th best in the nation. Adrianna Beard has been the top shooter for Morehead State this season with an average aggregate of 1168.178. Sadie Palfrey leads all shooters at UT Martin with an average of 1172.4.
