MSU’s Domon Earns MVC Freshman of the Week Honor

The freshman from France led the Racers in scoring over three games at the Cayman Islands Classic
Murray State's Roman Domon has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office in St. Louis.
Out of Amiens, France, Domon showcased his scoring punch and growing acumen to the American game across the Racers' three games at the Cayman Islands Classic.
He opened the event with 11 points and six rebounds in 16 minutes against Middle Tennessee and followed it with 14 points and a team-high seven boards against McNeese. In the final game against Middle Tennessee, Domon logged 31 minutes, with 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
For the week, Domon was 14-of-14 from the free throw line and averaged 13.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
The award is the second weekly nod the Racers have gotten this season in the MVC, after Javon Jackson was named Player of the Week (Nov. 17).
The Racers are at home this week for a pair of games against Morehead State and Bellarmine.
