Racers Are Vegas Bound - Meet Akron In Jack Jones Classic

The Murray State Racers play their second neutral site game Saturday when they meet the Akron Zips at the Jack Jones Classic in Henderson, Nevada.

Tip time at Lee's Family Forum is 3 p.m. Central Time.

The meeting between the Racers and the Zips recalls their days as members of the Ohio Valley Conference as the two meet for the first time since they compete in the same league from 1981-87, but are meeting for the first time since.

The Racers are coming off back-to-back wins at home over Morehead State and Bellarmine as they look for their first road win of the season.

The Racers enter the week ranked in the top-100 in 11 stat categories nationally. MSU is 17th in bench scoring, 33rd in 3-pointers made per game and 35th in scoring offense. MSU is tops in these in MVC.
