Racers Drop High Scoring Contest

Murray State fell 92-86 to Drake on Thursday night
Murray State women's basketball fell 92-86 to Drake on Thursday night at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. Despite knocking down 14 three pointers, the Racers were unable to slow the Bulldogs attack.
The Racers were led by a career high 22 points from Ava Learn and a 27 point and 12 rebound performance from Katelyn Young. Learn also posted seven rebounds and four blocks in the game. Sophomore guards Halli Poock and Haven Ford had strong showings with 19 points from Poock and a 15 point and 10 assist night for Ford.Â
Despite trailing by 16 after three quarters, Murray State posted a 35 point fourth quarter to fight back to within three points before Drake was able to hold on to seal the victory.
The Racers move to 9-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference and are currently in fourth place.
