The Racers open the spring season in the highly competitive event in Florida

The Murray State Racers women's golf team travels to the Sunshine State to get their spring season underway at the Rust Buster Match Play at King's Ridge Country Club in Clermont, Fla.

The seeded eight-team event has the Racers at No. 4 and facing No. 5 Akron on Monday, where they'll meet the winner/loser of No. 1 Omaha and No. 8 Western Illinois.

Play begins Monday morning at 7 a.m. Eastern Time.

Coach Philip Nelson has a team of six competitors in the event led by No. 1 Patti Patterson.
