The Racers are part of a field of eight teams in match play competition in Pittsburg, Tenn.
The Murray State men's golf team begins play Monday at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate in South Pittsburg, Tenn., in a field of eight teams in a match play bracket.
The Racers are the No. 5 seed and meet No. 4 Bowling Green in the first round at 10:30 a.m. Monday and will face either, the host and No. 1 Miami (OH) or No. 8 Belmont in the second round. The bottom half of the bracket has No. 6 Northern Kentucky facing No. Seton Hall and No. 2 Austin Peay meeting No. 7 Ohio.
Sweetens Cove has been ranked as high as No. 21 by Golfweek in their list of the best course to play in the USA. In 2019, construction of the King-Collins designed course was supported by the likes of NFL great Peyton Manning and international tennis star Andy Roddick.
