Racers Begin Final Week of Regular Season

Murray State visits Evansville on Thursday to begin the last week of the regular season
Murray State women's basketball is set to battle Evansville on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse in Evansville, Indiana.Â
Young was named a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award and ranks in the top 15 nationally in scoring this season with 21.3 points while also averaging 6.5 rebounds. Young also recently became the highest ever Division I scorer in the state of Kentucky and the leading rebounder in program history.
Four Racers all average 14 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Haven Ford, Ava Learn, and Young. The Racers enter the contest at 20-7 on the season and are coming off of a senior day win over Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Scouting Report
Evansville enters the game at 7-22 on the season. The Purple Aces defeated Indiana State 79-68 in their last time out. Maggie Hartwig leads SIU with 16.8 points per game.
