Racers Speed Past Calgary in Bahamas Exhibition

Murray State is playing three exhibition games this week in Nassau
The Murray State Racers won their first of three exhibition games in the Bahamas Summer League with a 103-77 victory over the Calgary Dinos at Baha Mar Resort Convention Center in Nassau.
Fred King led five Racers in double-figure scoring with a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The Racers received 15 points each from JJ Traynor and Lachlan Crate, while Brayden Shorter added 11 and Mason Miller 10 points.
MSU used a 15-2 run to eventually grab a 56-28 lead at halftime and led by as many as 32 points with 16:17 remaining.

Game Notes
- King's homecoming to Bahamas included a solid stat line: 23pts, 9-13fg, 5-6ft, 11 reb, 3a.
- Lachlan Crate had a perfect day in hitting all seven of his field goal attempts, including one 3-point basket.
- The Racers outrebounded the Dinos 44-23 and assisted on 19 of their 27 field goals.
- After hitting only 4-of-16 from the 3-point line in the first half, MSU was 5-of-11 in the second half.
- MSU had a good stretch that spanned the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half when they held the Dinos to 2-of-14 shooting and hit 10-of-14 shots.
