Murray, Ky. – Murray State hosts Northern Iowa on Thursday, Sept. 25, in its first home match of Missouri Valley Conference play.
The Racers enter the contest on a five-match unbeaten streak, their longest since March 2–16, 2020, following a 1-1 draw at Illinois State.
Despite the defensive battle in Normal, Breece Bass scored her third goal of the season and moved into a tie for 21st nationally in shots per game and 13th in total shots.
As a team, Murray State has consistently generated chances, ranking tied for 30th nationally in shots attempted.
Thursday will mark the fourth meeting between the programs, with UNI leading the all-time series 2-1. The Racers' lone win came at home in 2023, a decisive 4-1 result.
Through one conference match, the Racers rank 175th in RPI, third in the MVC, while UNI sits at 313th, ahead of only Valparaiso.
The Panthers opened league play with a 3-3 tie against Indiana State, their highest-scoring game of the 2025 season.
UNI is led by redshirt senior Olivia Knoepfle, a preseason All-MVC first-team pick. Knoepfle leads the Panthers in assists with three and is tied for the team lead in goals with three alongside Macy Smith.
Thursday's game will be UNI's fourth road match of the season, as the Panthers seek their first victory away from home.
