Murray State Rifle fired a 4706 in a match against Ole Miss on Saturday morning at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Kentucky.
The Racers tallied scores of 2331 in smallbore and 2375 in air rifle, while the Rebels fired a 2368 in air rifle and a 2378 in smallbore for a 4746 aggregate.
Carlotta Salafia was the top individual performer for Murray State, posting an aggregate of 1183 with a 586 in smallbore and 597 in air rifle. The sophomore placed fourth individually to lead the Racers and finished third in air rifle.
Freshman Lea Soulé also placed in the top five individually with an aggregate of 1181, firing a third-place 590 in smallbore and placing in the top 10 with a score of 591 in air rifle.
Three more Racers placed inside the top 10 individually, with Caroline Martin leading the way. Martin's 1174 aggregate was good for seventh with a 580 in smallbore and a fifth-place 594 in air rifle. Emma Lawrence placed eighth, firing a 1171 with a 581 in smallbore and 590 in air rifle. Abby Ballard rounded out the top 10 for Murray State, placing ninth individually with an aggregate score of 1166 and scores of 573 and 593 in smallbore and air rifle.

Following a week off, the Racers will return to the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range on Jan. 24 to host the Withrow Invitational at 9 a.m. CT.
