The Racers have a 12-game home winning streak in the CFSB Center
The Murray State Racers are back at home for a Wednesday 8 p.m. game against the Missouri Valley Conference preseason favorite Illinois State Redbirds.
The game finds the Racers coming off the Iowa Swing with a pair of defeats at Drake and Northern Iowa last week.
MSU has won its last 12 games at the CFSB Center as they are 10-0 this season.
The Racers share first place in the MVC at 8-2 with the Belmont Bruins, whom they visit Saturday in Nashville.
The Racers are led by a pair of MVC Larry Bird MVP candidates in big man Fred King and star guard Javon Jackson.
Jackson is 2nd in the MVC in scoring at 17ppg and faces off with Illinois State's Jaquan Johnson who is also at 17ppg.
King leads the MVC in rebounding at 8.6rpg and scores 12.7ppg for 11th in The Valley.
MSU's French freshman, Roman Domon, had a big week in scoring 19 points at Drake and 29 against UNI and ranks 10th in MVC at 13.3ppg.
The Wednesday game also finds a special night for Murray State Baseball and Coach Dan Skirka, when they are honored for their amazing run to the College World Series last June after winning their first MVC regular season and Tournament Championships, plus winning the regional events at Oxford and Durham.
