Dominant Racers Pick Up 20th Win of the Season

Murray State defeated Indiana State 114-78 on Thursday night in Terre Haute
Halli Poock exploded for 33 points to lead the Murray State women's basketball team to a dominant 114-78 victory over Indiana State on Thursday night at the Hulman Center.
The Missouri Valley Conference-leading Racers (20-3, 11-1 MVC) used a massive second quarter to break the game open, outscoring the Sycamores 34-16 in the frame to take a 21-point lead into halftime. Murray State remained efficient throughout, shooting 57 percent from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range while going 25-of-28 from the free-throw line.
Poock's performance featured five 3-pointers and a perfect 12-of-12 mark from the charity stripe. She was joined in double figures by former Indiana State guard Keslyn Secrist, who scored 19 points in her return to Terre Haute. Haven Ford and Sharnecce Currie-Jelks each added 16 points, while Destiny Thomas anchored the defense with a game-high 10 rebounds.
Ten Racers scored in the contest as the 36 point victory is MSU's largest over a Division I opponent this season.Â
