Domon, Jackson & King Honored in MVC Postseason Awards

The Racers trio led the Racers to 20 wins in the 2025-26 season
The Murray State Trio of freshman Roman Domon and seniors, Fred King, and Javon Jackson combined to win nine total awards for the 2025-26 season as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference from the league office in St. Louis.

King and Jackson, one-year seniors, brought to Murray by rookie head coach Ryan Miller, both performed at a high level from the start and both were named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference Team, with King getting a spot on the first team, and Jackson on the second team.

King was also named the MVC Newcomer of the Year and was a member of the All-Newcomer Team in The Valley. King also gained a spot on the All-Defensive Team in the MVC.

Domon burst onto the scene to become the MVC Freshman of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year, while also getting a nod to the MVC All-Freshman and All-Bench Team.

The Murray State Racers are the No. 4 seed at the State Farm Arch Madness – Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. MSU meets the UIC Flames, the No. 5 seed, on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Central Time.

- Fred King led the MVC in rebounding with an average of 8.4 per game and had eight double-doubles on the season.
- King is the first Racer to lead a league in rebounding since Ed Daniel led the Ohio Valley Conference with a 10.0rpg average in the 2012-13 season.
- King was 10th in scoring in the league at 13.2 points per game
- King also led the league in blocked shots and broke into the MSU all-time single season blocked shots list.
- Jackson was third in the MVC in scoring at 16.0ppg as he scored in double-figures in 25 of the 31 games played this season and had 11 games of scoring 20 or more points.
- Jackson enters the weekend in St. Louis with 497 points in the 2024-26 season and is on the edge of becoming the 54th Racer to get to the coveted 500-point mark in a single season in MSU program history.
- Domon is the fourth Racer to win a freshman of the year award and first since Cameron Payne earned the OVC's award for the 2013-14 season.
- Domon was sixth in the MVC in scoring at 14.1 points per game and he was 15th in the MVC in scoring at 5.1 rebounds
- Domon had double-figure scoring in 24 games this season and had five games of 20 or more points scored.
- He has 441 points and is the 13th MSU freshman to scoring 400 points in a season for the Racers.
