It's that time of year when the Murray State men's basketball team and the Racers' football team are in preseason periods, as are most of the Murray State programs as we get into the last part of August. Dave Winder has updates from France as the Racer Basketball gets ready for two games to end their three-country challenge. He also visits with Kelsey Long, part of the group that made sure the trip ran smoothly for the team while abroad. And former Racer Marcus Perry visits with Dave about the Racer Football scrimmage from over the weekend.

Phase 3 of upgrades were announced for Johnny Reagan Field at Taylor Family Park by Murray State Athletics. Since Murray State Baseball went all the way to the College World Series in 2025, the upward movement of Racer Baseball has been impressive. Dave Winder visits with AD Nico Yantko and Head Coach Dan Skirka. Plus a recap of the Racers' opening day game, a 28-14 loss last Thursday against Eastern Illinois.
