From small town Cherry Valley, Arkansas to Murray State's all-time scorer, Jeff Martin's career with Racer men's basketball burned bright from 1985-89. A two-time OVC Player of the Year, Martin received his only NCAA D-I full scholarship offer from MSU Coach Steve Newton. Martin had a big hand in the Racers' first NCAA Tournament win, an upset of North Carolina State in 1988. Martin shares his interesting memories of the glory days and growing up playing sports with his brother, Wayne, who became a NFL all-star with the New Orleans Saints.

Dave Winder takes a trip down memory lane of some big grand slam moments for the Racers, including clutch performances for Jocelynn Rodgers in 2017 and Drew Vogel in 2024.

With the end of spring workouts, it's a good time to catch up with Murray State Football Head Coach Jody Wright. When the Racers host Eastern Illinois (Aug. 27) it marks the 102nd season of Racer Football and the 54th season at MSU's Roy Stewart Stadium. It's also a big weekend at home for the Racers with the annual spring football scrimmage Friday, but also MSU baseball, softball and tennis all in action on home turf.
