It's a busy week on the Racer Report and at the top is a time of remembrance for former Murray State basketball assistant coach Jim Hatfield, who passed away at the age of 81. We'll have more on his five-season career with the Racers and head coach Tevester Anderson. Also an update on the basketball seasons as both the Racer men and women come down the stretch heading for March tournament time. MSU track & field heads to Chicago for the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships and MSU Rifle is headed for their 11th NCAA Championship appearance under coach Alan Lollar.

Both Murray State Basketball teams are in action week as the postseason continues in 2026. Combining for a school record 51 wins in a single season, the Racer Women are headed to the NCAA Tournament for a second-straight season and the MSU men are playing in the NIT. And we will also check in on the progress of the turf project at Johnny Reagan Field, the home of Murray State Baseball.
