In the late 1960's a smashing running back from Shelby, Ohio arrived at Murray State. His name was Rick Fisher. A MSU hall of famer since 1981, Fisher's records with the Racers are still standing the test of time as he's still the fourth all-time rusher in program history. On today's podcast, Fisher talks of how of he came to MSU, the crazy life of professional football, his great run as head coach at Murray High School (1990-2005) and the now famous 1994 Kentucky state championship game that still has people talking because of its strange ending. Wayback Wednesday takes us back to a MSU football win at EKU in 2004 and MSU Athletics recently secured its 30th straight semester of a 3.0 GPA for its combined 350+ student-athletes.

What a homecoming weekend it was as the Murray State Football program was squarely in the spot light when Coach Frank Beamer and Houston Nutt and their 1986/1996 championship teams were honored during homecoming weekend as legendary coaches, Beamer and Nutt caused the recall many memories. Dave Winder has a word on the greatness of each team that combined to produce nine Murray State Hall of Famers. Tommy Draffen also comments on the ground breaking of the Draffen Family Founders Club to be built in Roy Stewart Stadium. And Monday marks the start of the basketball season for the Racer men and women, we'll hear from head coaches Ryan Miller and Rechelle Turner.

Both Murray State teams were selected the top team in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll this week in St. Louis. Dave Winder was there and speaks to Racer head coaches Ryan Miller and Rechelle Turner. Dave also visited with several of the MSU players as MVC Media Day unfolded at Enterprise Center where Arch Madness will be held in March.
