Carla Coffey's amazing career as a student-athlete at Murray State from 1967-71 and more than 30-years as a track & field coach is in the spotlight on the podcast. The amount of young people Coach Coffey had a positive impact on is great. She did for her student-athletes as Murray State's Coach Margaret Simmons did for her when she chose the Racers out of Somerset, Ky. Carla Coffey was MSU's first woman to be inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame in 1981.

Phase 3 of upgrades were announced for Johnny Reagan Field at Taylor Family Park by Murray State Athletics. Since Murray State Baseball went all the way to the College World Series in 2025, the upward movement of Racer Baseball has been impressive.
