2006 OVC Leader in Tackles a Game (11.1)
2007: Appeared in the season opener against Louisville before suffering a season-ending injury...made seven stops.
2006: Led the Ohio Valley Conference and finished seventh in the nation with an average of 11.1 tackles per game...started first nine games of the season before suffering an injury and missing the final two games...finished with 100 tackles, including 51 solo stops...had 5.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks...forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles...had five games with double-digit tackle performances...had 14 tackles in the Racers’ season opener against Missouri...two weeks later he totaled a season-high 17 tackles against Indiana State, that performance tied for the second-most tackles in one game in the OVC during the 2006 season...had 14 tackles against Samford, 15 against then-No. 16 Eastern Illinois and 10 before being injured against Southeast Missouri...picked up a fumble in the fourth quarter against SEMO and returned it 24 yards to the 9-yard line.
2005: Led the Racers’ defense with 103 tackles...had 72 solo tackles...ranked third in the Ohio Valley Conference in total tackles...ranked 14th in the FCS with an average of eight tackles per game...turned in three games with double-digit tackles...had a season-high 15 tackles against UT Martin in the season’s final game...had a fumble recovery in the game at Samford...against Southeast Missouri, he turned in a rare feat when he recorded 12 tackles, all of which were solo.
2004: Missed entire season with a hip injury.
2003: Had a great first season with the Racers...coaches wanted to bring him along slowly, even redshirt him, but his play was too good, and he saw action in all 12 games, playing primarily on special teams and as an outside linebacker...had seven tackles on the season, including five solo stops.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Murray High School and played for head coach Rick Fisher, a former Racer football player and OVC Player of the Year (1971)...blossomed late in his career and developed into an all-state performer...selected to play on Kentucky All-Star Team...was an All-WKC player as a junior and senior and earned his team’s offensive, defensive back and receiver of the year awards as a senior...had 800 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns on offense in his senior year...had five blocked kicks, four interceptions and 50 tackles...also played baseball and ran track.
