2010-11
Participated in all but one of the Racers 30 games, starting 24...one of six players to average 20-or-more minutes per game...was third on the team with 9.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and fourth with her .367 (102-278) field-goal percentage...has grabbed a rebound in each of the last 35 games played, which is the second-longest active streak on the team...has also scored in her last six apperances and added an assist in the last three...named to the MSU Dean’s List for the fall and spring semesters...earned a spot on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2009-10
Participated in 15 games, starting in 11...missed 15 games of the season due to injury...finished third on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game, well above her 2.1 points per game average as a rookie...had her best performance in the last game of the season...tallied a team and personal-best 28 points and added a career-high eight rebounds...her .536 three-point field-goal percentage ranks as the best in school history in a single season...the mark was also good enough to set a new OVC single season record...she is also ranked second on the career three-point field-goal percentage lists with a .437 mark...was third on the team with a .471 field-goal percentage on the season...ended the season with a 12-game streak of made three pointers and consecutive games scoring.
2008-09
Played in all but two games for the Racers in her freshman campaign...averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game...also added four blocks...had her best game of the season against Morehead State (Feb. 26) where she tallied career-bests with 10 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and four field-goals made...was sixth on the team with her .324 field-goal percentage.
Before MSU
A four-year member of the Pike County Central High School basketball team...advanced to the district champion game all four seasons with the Hawks...earned a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2006-07 and advanced to the Final Four..named to the all-district and all-regional teams all four seasons...named 15th Region Player of the Year her senior season...earned All-State honors and was a McDonald’s All-America nominee...the Hawks claimed 60th District Championships her final two seasons, and a 15th Regional Championships as a junior...averaged 18.8 points, and eight rebounds per game as a senior...played four seasons of volleyball and softball as a prep...named to the district and regional all-tournament teams for four years in volleyball...earned softball district MVP in 2007...a member of the National Honor Scoiety and a 2007 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar.

Born Kayla Dawyn Lowe, Nov. 1, 1990, in Pikeville, Ky....daughter of William and Marsha Lowe...has one brother, Brad (23)...graduated in August 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and is now pursuing a master’s in human development and leadership.
