At Murray State
Before MSU
- Kent Rollins is into his third season assistant coach in the 2020-21 school year.
- Has been a big part of the leadership that has been the program improve in 2019 and 2020.
- In 2019, the Racers were 16-14 and had the first winning season in OVC play since 2010.
- Rollins has been a part of the development of outfielder Brock Anderson who earned All-OVC honors in 2019 and was on track for the same in 2020 when the season was shut down because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before MSU
- Spent two years at Georgia College & State University as an assistant coach
- Won back-to-back Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championships
- 2018 PBC Regular Season Champion
- Division II national leader in batting average both seasons
- Division II national leader in fielding percentage in 2018
- Volunteer Assistant Coach at Social Circle High School in Georgia
- Signed with Auburn University out of high school before playing two seasons at Middle Georgia State College and finishing up at Georgia Southern University
- 48th round draft pick by the San Diego Padres in 2011
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in general studies and a master’s degree in Kinesiology, both from Georgia Southern
