Appeared in all 11 games...was the anchor of the offensive line as he started all 11 games at center...called all the signals for a young offensive line...helped protect the conference’s leading passer...helped tailback Charlie Jordan produce back-to-back 100-yard performances against Eastern Illinois and Southeast Missouri.2006: Played in all 11 games as a sophomore...started seven games, six at right guard and one at left guard...helped the Racers pass for 286 yards against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 4) and 252 yards against Jacksonville State (Oct. 5), which had the second ranked pass defense in FCS at the time...helped Murray State run up 514 yards of offense, including 335 yards on the ground, against Indiana State (Sept. 16)...member of the Fall 2006 Murray State Dean’s List.
2005: Played as a backup on the offensive line...one of 352 student-athletes nationwide chosen to participate in the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference from 1,319 total nominations; the selection committee emphasized non-athletic leadership experience, community service and academic awards.
2004: Redshirted his first year at Murray State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Mississippi powerhouse South Panola High School for head coach Ricky Woods...his teams were 29-1 in his junior and senior years...helped lead South Panola to the 2003 Class 5A State Championship as a senior...named all-region first-team as a junior and senior.
PERSONAL: Full name is Quinton George Hankins...born on Nov. 26, 1985...son of Virginia Hankins...majoring in exercise science with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy.
