2012-13: Sat out last season as a redshirt.
2011-12: Had a solid first season as the back-up to Isaiah Canaan at the point guard position ... Appeared in all 33 games playing an average of 18.4 minutes per game ... Had an assist/turnover ratio of 1.5 and  grabbed 32 steals ... Had three double-digit scoring games ... Scored 12 points in the third game of the season against Tennessee Temple (Nov. 17) ... Had 11 points in MSU’s win at Tennessee State (Feb. 23) when he was 4-of-7 from the field to go with four rebounds ... Had four steals in MSU’s OVC Tournament win over Tennessee Tech (March 2) ... Played more than 20 minutes in a game 13 times ... Named OVC Freshman of the Week (Jan. 16) when he averaged 9.5 points per game for the week in wins over Jacksonville State (Jan. 12) and Tennessee Tech (Jan. 14).
Before MSU: Was named Louisiana All-State in class 2A as a senior in leading his team from St. Thomas Aquinas High School to a 32-8 record ... He was a finalist for Louisiana 2A Mr. Basketball ...  Had a scoring average of 20 points per game and finished as the program’s second all-time leading scorer with more than 2,500 points ... Had a high scoring game of 41 points against Riverside 2009 ...As a junior, he averaged 18.2 points per game and received a two-star rating from ESPN.com ... Was also named Louisiana All-State in class 2A ... His team was very successful with a Louisiana 2A championship his freshman season and they advanced to the state semifinals in his sophomore season ... He comes from a program that was 134-26 in his prep career ... He was also a decorated track & field athlete and won the Louisiana Class 2A triple jump state championship three times and won the high jump once, clearing 6 feet, 8 inches.Â
