Amber Guffey

At Murray State

Prior to MSU

Spent two seasons at Murray High School as an assistant.
Helped lead the Tigers to the 2016 All-A State championship.
The Tigers also won a pair of All-A Region titles, back-to-back District 4 championships and made appearances in the KHSAA Final Four in 2016 and 2017 under Guffey.
MHS compiled a record of 63-8 in Guffey's two seasons.
Guffey also coached a pair of all-state players while at MHS.

Playing Career

Three-time All-OVC selection at Murray State.
Named to the OVC All-Tournament Team three times.
OVC Tournament MVP in 2008.
2008-09 NCAA Women's Basketball Academic All-American of the Year.
Three-time Academic All-District honoree.
Third all-time in program history with 1,877 career points.
All-time leader in career assists (512), free throws made (587), games played (123) and minutes played (3,873) at MSU.
Also ranks second all-time in career 3-pointers made with 210.
Second in career free-throw percentage, shooting at a clip of 87.1 percent.
2017 Murray State Hall of Fame inductee.
Played professionally overseas in Luxembourg with Residence DeWalferdangre.
