Before MSU
- Went to Marian Central Catholic High School with fellow MSU signee Rachel Giustino.
- At Marian Central, Kaufmann helped lead the Hurricanes to the 2015 Class 3A Illinois State Championship
- In 2015, Kaufmann was a unanimous all-conference and all-area selection
- Kaufmann was also named Honorable Mention All-State
- Averaged 5.2 digs per set in 2015 and her 602 digs in her junior season set a new school record
- Kaufmann's 1,311 career digs is a program record at Marian
- The three-time team captain for the Hurricanes was also named all-state following the 2014 season
