Murray State Men's Tennis Competes At Southeast Regionals

Murray State's Fadi Zamjaoui nearly upset Rawl Martin of Tennessee in the first round of the Main Draw singles bracket, which featured 128 players. Zamjaoui won the first set 7-5 before Martin came back and took the second set 6-1. In the decisive third set, Martin edged Zamjaoui by a 7-6 score.
Yuri Pompeu and Nicholas Ksiezopolski each took part in the Qualifying Singles bracket, which included 32 players. Pompeu fell in the first round to Eric Deroche of LSU, 6-2 and 6-2. Ksiezopolski also lost a first round match, falling to Martel Campbell of LSU, 6-3 and 6-0.
In the Racers' only doubles match, Zamjaoui and Hunter Gerlach dropped an 8-3 decision to David Demers and Kevin Obletz of Florida Atlantic.
The Southeast Regional Championships concluded Murray State's fall schedule.
