Murray State Men's Tennis Beats Rhodes On The Road

Murray State University's men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win over Rhodes College on Wednesday in Memphis, Tenn. The Racers improved to 3-6 on the season while Rhodes dropped to 4-3.
MSU swept all three doubles matches, but it wasn't an easy task. Murray State had to win nine games in each match. Fadi Zamjaoui and Dmytro Hryhorash defeated Scott Bayer and Kareem Mansur at number one doubles by a score of 9-8.
In singles play, the Racers won five of six matches. Hunter Gerlach earned his first singles victory of the season by defeating Adam Bohnert at number four singles in three sets. After losing the first set 7-5, Gerlach came back to win the second set 6-0 and the third set 6-4.
Next up for the Racers is a home Ohio Valley Conference match against Tennessee State on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
