Men's Tennis Falls at UT Chattanooga

The Murray State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to UT Chattanooga Friday evening at the Hixson Racquet Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The Racers fell behind early as the Mocs used strong play to sweep all three doubles matches.

In singles action Jadir Semensin had his strongest outing of his career as he forced a third set against Robert Diamond at No. 5 singles. Semensin took the opening set 6-4 before falling 6-2 in the second set. Diamond was able to prevail 10-6 in the final set.

At No. 3 singles, Chris Horton nearly forced a third set as he fell 6-4 in the second set after a 6-1 setback in the opener.

Yuri Pompeu stepped into the No.1 spot against Badr Bouabdellah. Pompeu battled in the first set before wearing down and falling 6-4, 6-0.
