The Murray State Racers continue their two-game road trip with a 7:30 p.m. tip Saturday at Tennessee Tech at the Eblen Center in Cookeville, Tenn. The game will be aired live on the Racer TV Network starting at 7 p.m.
The Racers, who won at Tech last season for the first time in four tries, leads the all-time series with the Golden Eagles 117-46 and are 42-37 away from home.
The Racers series with Tennessee Tech, which started in 1930, is tied for the oldest series for MSU (along with Middle Tennessee) among all current and past OVC members.
The Racers posted a 71-62 win at Jacksonville State Thursday with 19 points from Isacc Miles and 13 from Jeffery McClain. MSU had to battle JSU and trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half, when the score was 23-13. MSU managed to finish the half outscoring the Gamecocks 19-9 to get the score tied at 32-32 at halftime. MSU finally got the lead for the first time with 16:35 remaining, built a 12-point lead and saw JSU trim it to five before the final outcome.
MSU dominated the rebound statistic 34-22 and limited JSU to only eight offensive rebounds.
