The Racers are coming off a nine-match Spring Break trip where they went 3-6. The two home matches this weekend are scheduled to be the first home outdoor matches of the year and just two of four planned for the season. If there is inclement weather the matches will be moved to the indoor Kenlake Tennis Center in Aurora, Ky.
EKU is 8-8 overall this season and 1-1 in league action. The Colonels lost 4-3 in their last match (March 19) against UT Martin. EKU's win in the OVC this season came against Austin Peay (4-3). The Colonels have won the last four meetings with Murray State, but the Racers own a 37-14 advantage in the all-time series and a 17-3 mark when playing at home.
Morehead State is 7-9 on the year, including a 1-2 mark in OVC play. The Eagles last action was a 4-3 loss to UTM (March 20). Their other loss in the conference came against APSU (5-2) and their win was at Southeast Missouri (6-1). Murray State is 4-1 in the last five meetings, with Morehead State earning the last win (March 21, 2010, 5-2). The Racers own a 29-4 mark in the series with the Eagles and are a perfect 11-0 when playing at home.
