Men's Tennis Opens the Fall at Louisville

The Murray State men's tennis team begins its fall season over the weekend as the Racers travel to Louisville for the Louisville Fall Invitational.
In all, 13 teams will be at the event, including OVC members Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State and Tennessee Tech. There will be three flights in both singles and doubles with five rounds being played in singles competition and three rounds in doubles play.
Newcomer Adam Taylor will get things started for the Racers in Flight “A” as he will face Morehead State's Nick Mercer. Senior Tyler Jeffers will be the other Racer in the first flight as he matches up against Louisville's Alex Gornet.
In Flight “B” Max McLean will face-off with Austin Peay's Iago Seffrin. Joao Camara will also be in the second flight and will play Chicago State's Julian Chavez. Dylan Gerlach and Nick Mitric will play for MSU in the “C” Flight and will face West Alabama and Bluefield State, respectively.
The team of Jeffers and Mitric will be Murray State's Flight “A” doubles team and will face Louisville's duo of Colton Buffington and Van Damrongsri. In Flight “B” the tandem of McLean and Alex Mitric will play Bluefield State's Niklas Sparr and Vlad Catlan. McLean and Mitric will also play in the “C” Flight at the tournament and will receive a first round bye.
