Racers Set for a Pair of Upcoming Top-10 Matchups

The eighth-ranked Murray State rifle team returns to action for the first time in 2013 as the Racers will host No. 4 Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range.

Not only is it the first match of 2013 for the Racers, but it is also the first time in the last four matches that MSU will not be squaring off with fellow OVC opponent Jacksonville State. However, the break from the Gamecocks will be short-lived as the Racers will travel to Jacksonville, Ala., on Saturday to face the fifth-ranked Gamecocks.

Thursday's event will be MSU's first match in nearly two months and will kick off the Racers' final four events of the season before the OVC Championships on Feb. 2 in Morehead, Ky.

The Alaska Fairbanks matchup will be the Racers' ninth event of the season and it will be the Nanooks' sixth event. Saturday's match will be JSU's ninth event as well.
