The Murray State men's tennis squad dropped a 6-1 decision on Thursday to 11^th-ranked, Division II power Abilene Christian.

The Racers' (0-5) lone win of the evening came at number three singles when Joao Camara defeated ACU's Guilherme Gesser 6-4 and 6-4.

The final score of the match was much broader than reality as two singles matches went to three sets and at number one, Adam Taylor dropped a close 6-4, 7-6 decision to second-ranked Hans Hach.

Max McLean lost at number four singles 6-7, 6-1 and 12-10. Number six singles featured the other three-set match as Nicholas Mitric was defeated 1-6, 6-4 and 6-1. Ryan Kennedy lost at number five 6-1 and 6-3, while Tyler Jeffers fell 6-3, 6-3 at number two singles.

ACU swept all three doubles matches, winning 8-2 at both number one and two, and winning 8-6 at number three. The tandem of Kennedy and Taylor played at number one, while Camara and Jeffers were at number two. The team of McLean and Aleks Mitric played at three doubles.

The Racers will finish the weekend with a pair of matches. MSU will travel to Memphis for a match with the Tigers on Saturday and will then return home to face UT-Chattanooga at noon on Sunday at the Kenlake Tennis Center.
