The Breds return to the friendly confines of Reagan Field as they welcome preseason favorite Austin Peay for a three-game OVC series on March 28-30. The series is set to get underway at 3 p.m. on Thursday, and continue with a 3 p.m. first pitch on Friday and conclude at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Breds hold a 102-87-1 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1948. MSU is also 52-30 in games in played in Murray, including going 3-2 in the last two weekend series. The teams played a pair of one-run games a season ago, with the Govs walking off with two wins.

Weekend Baseball
The Breds return to Reagan Field for a three-game series with preseason favorite Austin Peay on March 28-30. The series gets underway at 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Weekend Weather
The early forecast looks good for the weekend as mostly sunny skies are forecast for all three games. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 50s for the first two games, and then reach 60 for the series finale.

Finch Earns OVC, National Honors
Cameron Finch was honored Monday as the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, as well as the Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week.
OVC Doubleheaders
Even though the OVC went away from playing doubleheaders on Saturday a season ago, the weather didn't get the memo as the Breds have been forced to play a doubleheader each of the first three weeks of conference play. MSU has actually played a doubleheader four-straight weeks dating back to the non-conference series against Canisius.
Mathews Settles In
Centerfielder Taylor Mathews has settled in to the two spot in the Breds lineup. In four games last week, Mathews went 8-for-18 with four-straight two-hit games. He also drove in six runs, including a career-best four in the middle game against SIUE.
DeLeeuw Restores Order
For the second week in a row, Cashtyn DeLeeuw followed up a high-scoring game by throwing 7.2 strong innings against SIUE. He allowed just one run in helping the Breds win the series with an 8-1 victory. He improved to 2-0 and lowered his ERA to 3.86.
Finch Tosses No Hitter
Junior Cameron Finch made history in the series opener against SIUE as he tossed the first nine-inning hitter in school history. It is the 8th no hitter in school history, with the previous seven being seven innings.

Wheeler Flashes Leather and Bat
Dylan Wheeler did it with his bat and his glove in the series opener against SIUE as he made an unbelievable diving stop to keep the no hitter in tact just one inning after driving in the the only run of the game.
Road Victory
The Breds series-opening victory against SIUE marked the teams first road victory of the 2013 season.
