Murray State Men's Tennis Loses to Jacksonville State

Racer men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match Saturday afternoon in Murray to Jacksonville State. The loss eliminates MSU from qualifying for the OVC Tournament next weekend.
The Racers were swept in the doubles portion of the match, losing all three matches. At number one, the team of Ryan Kennedy and Adam Taylor fell 8-3. While at number two, the duo of Joao Camara and Tyler Jeffers lost 8-0. Nicholas and Aleks Mitric lost 8-7 at number three.
Taylor and Kennedy picked up the Racers' lone wins during singles play in the match. Taylor won at number two 7-6, 4-6 and 12-10. Kennedy was victorious at four, 6-2, 4-6 and 10-3.
Joao Camara retired at number one after losing the first set 6-0 and trailing in the second 3-0. Jeffers lost at three, 6-2 and 6-2. While Nicholas Mitric lost at five 6-1, 6-2 and Aleks fell at number six 6-2 and 7-5.
Murray State will conclude its season Sunday with a match against Tennessee Tech at Bennie Purcell Courts. The match will begin at 11 a.m.
