Love Places Seventh at Drake Relays, Pratt Finishes 15th

All-American Alexis Love finished in seventh place in the university/college division 100 meter dash Saturday at the 104^th running of the Drake Relays. Love finished with a time of 11.83, which is the seventh-best time in school history. Love recorded the third-best time in the prelims on Friday, running a time of 12.08.

Tonia Pratt competed for the Racers in the discus Friday afternoon. Pratt placed 15^th in the event, recording a throw of 154 feet. The toss is the third-highest mark in Murray State history.

Sharda Bettis ran in the 100-meter hurdles for MSU, and placed sixth in her heat with a time of 14.8. Bettis had come into the weekend having broken the school record in the event in her last two meets. The 4x100 team of Bettis, Love, Hannah McAllister and LaShea Shaw also competed, but did not finish their race.

The Racers return to action next weekend as they will travel to Charleston, Ill., for the OVC Outdoor Championships beginning on Friday and ending Saturday.
