Murray State's men's tennis team began the spring portion of their schedule nonconference rival Louisville. The Racers were unable to capture a set against the #48 ranked Cardinals, falling 7-0.

Playing at No. 2 singles, Max McLean was able to string some games together against Van Damrongsri, but fell in two sets, 6-1, 6-4. McLean also teamed with Adam Taylor at No. 1 doubles, losing to the tandem of Seb Stiefelmeyer and Damrongsri, 6-0.

Making his collegiate debut, freshman David Hess was competitive against Eric Bonfre at No. 6 singles. Hess lost in two sets, 6-3, 6-2.

The Racers will have a quick turnaround as they'll continue their nonconference schedule Monday, Jan. 20 against Tennessee. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
